The sun was shining into the room. The first rays of sunlight woke me up. I groaned and turned around. Someone giggled. I blinked and looked directly into the grinning face of Steve. "Good morning, my Darling," he whispered to me. I looked at him in disbelief and turned back, annoyed. When I had the blanket pulled up to my head, there was a knock at the door. I sighed, and dragged me to the door. I opened it and held my head in the hallway. Lilith smiled at me. She had her clipboard in her right hand and she had a headset on. "Time for breakfast. And Many ... " I nodded. "... take a shower before, you Muffle."
She ruffled through my hair and disappeared into the kitchen. "Was that your sister? She sounded so happy", I heard Steve say behind me. I nodded and said: "I'll take a shower now," Steve smiled at me. I grabbed my clothes and disappeared out our room. I went down the hallway and disappeared into the second door on the left.
Fifteen minutes later I was freshly showered and dressed. I went to my room to see that Steve was already in the kitchen. I put my sleeping clothes on my bed and moved toward the kitchen.

My sister sat on the left side of the table and scribbled something on her clipboard. In between, she nodded and gave sounds like "Uh-huh" or "aha" of herself. Steve sat opposite her and waited patiently for breakfast. When he saw me he smiled at me and pointed to the empty chair next to him. My father was reading as usual in the newspaper. My mother was at the stove and just scooped the last Pancakes on the crowded plate. As I looked at them, I had to smile. No, we weren't a completely normal family. A man from the Stone Age of humanity, a woman from the sewer, a girl who is my half-sister, but not nearly looks like me and a boy who came from a parallel universe. But I loved my family. "Why are you smiling so happy?", My mother asked me when I sat down next to Steve. "Oh, nothing," I said, yawning. She put the plate on the table and before I knew it, the plate was almost empty. I quickly grabbed the last pancake. While Steve loudly munching on his pancake, my parents talked about work. They mentioned that Bender might come back. Since he was gone, they had to take Zoidberg on their delivery. I wasn' sure why everyone hated Zoidberg. He has a beautiful girlfriend, Marianne, and two very nice children. One looked just like Zoidberg himself, his name was Larry, and he has a little girl, as well. Her name was little Annny. Actually it was Annabeth, but everyone called her little Anny. I really liked her. And Bender? He ran away when I was 8 years old. Since then I haven't seen him and no one else did. Bender has always told me about his big dream that he wanted to be a folk singer. Once he had even almost done it. He had so often told me that I can sing the story backwards. My parents always sang with him this song, I had never heard of until the moment. When he left, my parents said that he would perhaps try again. But four years seemed a bit long to me.
"Honey, you haven't touched your breakfast," my mother said anxiously, "Is everything okay?" I was abruptly torn from my thoughts. I forced myself to smile and said: "Yes, everything's great" I ate quickly. All seemed to be in such a good mood today. Terrible! Especially on a day like this. Four years. He had left me alone for four long years. My only real friend. My best friend. I stood up and shuffled back to my room. Steve thanked for the breakfast, like every morning, and followed me. I opened the door and lay down in my bed. I felt how someone sat down on my bed. "Is everything okay?" Steve whispered as quietly as he could. "You look sad."
 I took a deep breath.
"Four years," I said. Steve frowned. "Did anyone died?" He asked cautiously. I shook my head and I realized how tears shot in my eye. "Worse," I sobbed more than I talked. "My only friend had left me alone," I pulled my blanket to the head and turned to the window, away from Steve's worried expression. I noticed how he stood up and shortly afterwards I heard nothing. Now Steve had left me alone too. Great Day. But I was wrong, because suddenly I felt how someone lifted the blanket and
how he laid next to me. He snuggled up to me. I felt his warmth and had to smile. "Better?" He whispered. "Better," I said, relieved. At least I had a friend .... a boyfriend.
"Where's the sugar, Fry?!" I heard my mother say, annoyed. "At the top of the cabinet, where it always is!" My father answered. My sister phoned loudly and went down the hallway. "What? Where are you, then .... Ah for sure ...Didn't you have thought about the boy for a second? ... Hmm ... Then it's time to do .. oh WHEN? ... Okay. Yes until later" My sister hung up. "MUM!!!! Mum! Mum, you'll never believe me, who just called me!" I heard Lilith, who walked into the kitchen.
I turned around and looked at Steve's perplexed expression. "What's going on?" I asked him but he just shrugged. "Shall we see?" He suggested and I nodded. We both went to the door and peered out. My parents were talking excitedly in the kitchen. I crept into the kitchen. "What's going on here?" I asked as loud as I could, to drown out the conversations. My whole family looked at me. My parents stared a bit too long at each other "Nothing. We just want to bake a cake, and I couldn't find the sugar ", tried my mum to explain. I looked at her. "And with whom Lilith phoned?"
My sister came out of the living room and looked at me angrily. "I work and have to constantly call with someone you don't even know eh. And if you're interested. It was a friend from the university, which I had left ... four years ago, "she said, winking at me. There it was again. Four years. "Oh .. okay. Then I'll just .. I uh just go out," I stuttered and went to Steve, who took my hand and followed me. We walked down the street and turned the corner. I sat down on the sidewalk and Steve did too. I sighed.
"She lied," I said after a while. "Who lied? .... Ah Lilith, right?", He asked, looking at me expectantly. I nodded. "She left the university only three years ago." Steve looked at me and I saw how he thought. "Do you mean .. you mean that Bender has resurfaced?" He asked. I smiled at him and shrugged. "Come on." I said instead, and stood up. I helped Steve and together we walked down the street. A tall man, who was wearing a brown coat and a brown hat, jostled me. "Hay! Watch out!" I called after him but he just went on. "Asshole." Steve chuckled and grinned at me. "WHAT!" I asked. "What?!" But Steve shook his head. Obviously he knew something.
I pulled him into the next dark alley and pressed him against the wall. He looked at me confused, for a minute, until he realized what I wanted to do. He kissed me and started to pull my shirt. But I pulled away and grinned at him. "What ... do you know?" I whispered, but his face darkened. "AHA OK. I know nothing!" He said, annoyed and pushed me aside. "I know nothing!" He said again, as he walked past me. He looked at me angry and disappointed. He shuffled around the corner and disappeared from my view. I sighed and followed him. "Hay, ey, wait," I called after him. He paused. I caught up to him. "Um .. I'm sorry," I said and put my arm around his shoulder. He nodded and I saw a smile crossed his face. "We should go home," he said, and obviously he had to suppress a grin.
We ran as fast as we could home. When I opened the door I couldn't believe my eye. The brown coat and hat hung at the
wardrobe. I pointed in disbelief at the clothes. "But ... but .." I stuttered, but Steve just smiled at me. I heard conversations from the living room and the smell of apple pie hung in the air. I turned to Steve and stared at him. "You know something." He smiled at me, shrugged and said: "Maybe," I groaned and slipped into the living room. I peered inside. When Lilith saw me, she crossed her legs and the conversations stopped. She got up and went to me. "Ah, my little brother! Come here, my Cutie", She took me in her arms and motioned Steve to sat down. Steve walked past us and stopped for a moment, scared. When he had collected himself, he sat down on a chair.
"What's going on?" I asked Lilith, who I still hugged me. She let go of me and smiled at me. "Just now? Your best day".

She stood up and meant me to enter. I paused for a moment. I walked past her and she followed me. I couldn't believe my eye, I mean that just couldn't be true! No, that wasn't true, never, however, in front of me stood (yes, stood) ... a tall robot. In front of me stood Bender, who smiled at me. I stared at him and then I stared at Steve and then I stared at my father. "I'm back, baby!" He said, "And you are Many, right? I almost didn't
recognize you." But I just stared at him. "You look like your mother," but I just stared at him anyway. I couldn't say anything and I couldn't move. And then, and then I fell backwards, I heard the alarmed shouts of my parents, and the completely exaggerated howling of Steve, as a gentle darkness surrounded me and I finally fell asleep.
After an indeterminate time I woke up in my bed. Steve sat next to me and he held my hand. I blinked at him. "You'll never believe me, what I dreamed. Bender was here and ... ", I began to talk, as I realized that we weren't alone. "You weren't
dreaming," a person said, who was sitting on Steve's bed. I closed my eye. When I opened it again, Steve was gone. Instead Bender stood beside me. I sat up. He looked at me anxiously. "I'm sorry that I ran away, but a man has to do what a man .." But I interrupted him by jumping up and slightly exaggerated tottered up to him and hugged him. He felt cold and metallic and not even like a human, but nevertheless a warmth spread into me. He also hugged me and whispered almost inaudibly:
"My little Meatbag's growing up."

A short ("short") story about the reunion of two best friends.Huggle! Actually, children in the age of Many are very unforgiving, at least I was. And when Bender ran away he was just 8 years old. But Many is just happy that he is back. Why Bender ran away will always stay a mystery, however.
I hadn't drawn Bender for quite a while and I thought it was about time.Clock  And then I had this idea. Actually I only wanted that they hug each other. But when I was finished and I saw Many  ... I don't know, but it looks like as Many haven't seen him for years.

(I apologize for any spelling and grammatical mistakes. I sat at this story for
about four hours. And when English isn't your mother tounge, then it's really very difficult hmm )
